Weekly Meal Plan – June 19 to June 24

Meal Plan June 19 – PrintableMeal plan image

What you need to know about this weeks meal plan

  • Recipes are from the THM Cookbook
  • This meal plan is for Hubby and I – from most recipes we can usually get 2 to 3 servings each and we love that, it cuts down on the cooking time each week and we don’t mind eating leftovers
  • I work from home and have busy mornings and lunch breaks, you will notice some repetition and that’s because I like to make a meal (like a casserole) the night before and have a enough for a few days of lunches.  Sometimes, if the servings are too many I’ll freeze a few for a quick meal in the future
  • You will notice asterisks next to the Apple Cinnamon Crockpot Oatmeal, I’ve never had the crockpot method for this recipe work for me, so I make the recipe as is with steel cut oats and bake at 350° for 40 minutes and it’s perfect for us! – cut into 6 pieces
  • Jerk Chicken Thighs – I season with a pre-maid rub (Sugar free) or my own mix and BBQ on indirect heat.
  • I typically wait 3 hours between meals, but sometimes its a little sooner as I would be eating too late in the day.  For this reason I tend to make snacks a drink or at least FP so that I don’t end up fuel stacking
  • through the day I drink lots of water, GGMS and Shrinkers

Be sure to let me know your thoughts on the meal plan and if you will be tying this?

If there are any questions please drop me a line and I would be happy to help

  1. I have the books, I have read through a few chapters and I am stuck. We own our own business that is open 5&1/2 months a year and during that time my day starts at 6 if not realize and ends at 10-11 pm and repeat 7 days a week, plus I work a pt job from home. No real time for meal or planning prep never mind making a lot of items from scratch, we do try and eat healthy as much as possible. Any suggestions on how to do THM on this schedule?

    1. Hi Melanie,

What a tough schedule you have. I think the first step is making you and your health a priority, after all it would appear that your family and business rely on it.

second, keep it simple. Think of the items that you eat now and how could you change them.

Breakfast – some yogurt and THM granola, its quick easy and you can eat it on the go, or maybe some boiled eggs that cook in the morning while you take a shower

Lunch – A sandwich with low fat Turkey, some Greek Yogurt instead of Mayo, lettuce and tomato, and even a piece of fruit

Dinner – one of the great Crock pot meals could be waiting for you at home, or you could make it while in the office if that works and have it there

You can do this, it will be a little touch given your schedule but I know you can. Start with simply separating your fats and carbs, drinking more water, and trying to eat every 3 to 4 hours. Once you have built the habit of this, start with some other THM strategies and working them in. Its really important to not take on more than you can handle.

Best of Luck…..and give yourself some Grace
